Standardized Oculomotor Neuro-ophthalmic Disorders Assessment

SONDA is an eye-tracking platform that combines multiple oculomotor assessments and eye movement perimetry into a single rapid test. A two-minute intuitive test provides an objective read on visual function, cleared for the diagnosis and staging of glaucoma.

The platform

Three components, one platform.

Loading 3D model…

Medical-grade display with photometric calibration

Custom electronics for fast connectivity and precise time-sync

On-board processor with dedicated NVIDIA® GPU

Inertial measurement unit for head movement tracking

Custom magnetic prescription lenses and occluders

Infrared eye-tracking sensors @200Hz

The SONDA Hub presents the continuous visual stimulus and processes the recorded gaze in real time. It is the hardware component that pairs with the CE-marked SONDA software.

SONDA in action

See through the eyes of your patient.

  1. Patient wears glassesNo calibration or setup needed
  2. Visual stimuli presentedNo complex task: just follow with your eyes
  3. Eye movements capturedInfrared sensors record objective oculomotor data
  4. Real-time analysisPatented algorithms process diagnostic biomarkers
  5. Clinical report generatedSimple, actionable output

Actionable results within minutes.

Sample SONDA report: a visual field density map alongside a HIGH/MID/LOW glaucoma risk indication gauge

Every test produces a structured visual function report. The risk index provides clear, actionable output, immediately identifying if the patient presents symptoms of visual function loss compatible with glaucomatous damage. For in-depth analysis, the full oculography recording provides metrics on data quality, blinking frequency and saccades dynamics (peak velocity and amplitude) that can help in understanding the more difficult cases.

SONDA is highly accurate and reliable; see the clinical evidence.

Horizontal and vertical gaze traces against the presented stimulus across three test runs, annotated with missed saccades, correct saccadic responses, preserved foveal function, and a delayed saccadic response
